I am passionate about volleyball, having played both indoor and beach volleyball for 10 years. I played club, high school, and college at NCAA Division 1 UC Santa Barbara. I have also coached both teams and individual players for 2+ years, and I love seeing new players fall in love with the game. I consider my coaching style to emphasize fun and growth. I enjoyed the breakdown of fundamentals. Usually coaches would rather just say to do something instead of explaining why, I liked how Dain went into depth on concepts.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonOur first lesson will revolve around purely outlining the fundamentals to the game: written and unwritten rules, basic physics, and rudimentary mechanics and knowledge.
Lesson 11+Lessons 11+ will likely be an exploration of intermediate-expert skills to the players discretion. Advanced techniques, unwritten rules, deeper skills that require 6+ weeks of consistent training
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4-10 is where we can springboard into those early concepts. Volleyball is a skill and precision sport, and while we may get the fundamentals after 2-3 lessons, from there on is where we can refine those basic skills into shaping the style of you as a player.
Lesson 2-3Lessons two and three is where we will delve into proper mechanics and game I.Q., building our foundation using simple drills and techniques.
