Beginner training plan
Your first lessonGetting to know each other and the goals my student wants to achieve from these lessons as well as understanding the instrument and proper playing posture.
Lesson 11+Learning proper bow posture, playing pressure, bow strokes, how to rosin the bow, and how to effectively play accents and more intricate playing techniques and music now including the bow.
Lesson 4-10Going more in depth with reading and understanding the sheet music and how to effectively play different notes along the fret board as well as learning how to read accents in sheet music to improve playing
Lesson 2-3Learning the different strings and proper plucking/sight reading music and tempo.
Youth players
Working with kidsI make sure the lesson plan is fun and engaging for my student to make sure they’re enjoying their time but also staying focused and learning.
Working with teenagersI make sure the lesson plan is fun and engaging as well as making sure we’re addressing the steps to achieve my student’s goals and to make sure they feel they’re being heard and listened to.
What you need to bringPlease provide your own instrument and music stand if u have access to one as well as yourself and a positive attitude :)
What I can bringI have a spare 3/4 to full size violin I am willing to bring to each lesson along with my own incase the student doesn’t have access to one during lessons. I will bring music and/or books for during the lesson.
