Youth players
Working with kidsI try to give simpler explanations of concepts and use more visuals if they are a visual learner and demonstrate more if they are an audio learner.
Working with teenagersIf they are a more advanced performer, I will work with them as I would with any other advanced player. However, if they are a beginning player, I will work with them as I would a beginner although I would use more complex language than with kids in order to explain concepts.

What I can bringI provide a metronome and a pencil, but I highly encourage students to have these items at home for practice purposes.

I'm a passionate violin instructor with several years of experience helping students grow into confident, expressive musicians. My teaching blends a strong classical foundation with modern techniques, creating a fun and focused environment tailored to each student’s goals. I use the Essential Elements book for beginners and work with intermediate and advanced players on pieces they choose—whether for auditions, performances, or personal enjoyment. In addition to teaching, I'm a professional performer with the San Antonio Philharmonic and regularly play for events such as weddings, funerals, and private functions.
