Ms. Amy has helped me prepare for various auditions including Region Orchestra. I have made Region the past 2 years in a row with the help of Ms. Amy. Ms. Amy has allowed me to gain more confidence in my playing and earn a seat as Concertmaster at the high school I attended. I was able to pay attention to every detail in a piece of music where Ms. Amy guided me in really capturing the essence of a piece. I never felt I was playing bad, but rather I was encouraged by Ms. Amy to take the time to slow down a piece so that I would not rush and by doing so I was improving my playing over time. Ms. Amy was flexible with my schedule which I much appreciated as I had a heavy coursework to do for school. I feel that Ms. Amy has made me a better musician and I will be able to tackle any piece of music I may receive.

What I like most about Amy's studio is her style of teaching. She is a lovely combination of extremely kind and patient but also technically exacting. I have made such huge strides in my playing. She is absolutely the best violin teacher I've ever had. If you are serious about the violin or viola, Ms. Pikler is the teacher for you.
