Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe first learn the mechanics of the violin. How it's made, played and all essential matinence.
Lesson 11+Reading in Treble cleft. Note values. Play a popular song. Sight reading exercise.
Lesson 4-10Playing "Twinkle Twinkle" and other beginner songs. Study rhythm and bowing patterns. Moving to D string and learn D&E scale.
Lesson 2-3We learn notes on the A&E strings. Learn first major scale and finger exercises.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonCircle of 5ths. Minor scales(2 Octave range). 2nd-3rd position. Etudes
Lesson 11+Muscle memory and memorizing songs. Major&minor scales in 3 octave range.
Lesson 4-10How to vibrato. Sight reading challenges.
Lesson 2-3Bow dynamics.Learn a classic/ romantic song.
Youth players
Working with kidsI ask them how good they want to be on a scale of 1-5, then ask what they like in music.
Working with teenagersI get to know them and their music journey and ask what they hope to accomplish with the violin.
