The key to starting any new activity is to enjoy it! So we'll make sure you're hitting those balls right away and just having fun!
At the end of the first lesson, we'll see if there's anything specific you'd like to work on, or anything that you just don't want to tackle just yet.
How these lessons go is all up to you! We can drill and drill, or even focus on playing actual games if that's the way you learn best. This is now your passion, and your choice!
Once you have a basic understanding of the game, then repetition is the key! Some of my favorite drills include cross-court forehands, precision serving, volley-practice, and good old-fashioned fitness drills. We'll pick what works the best for you (and what you enjoy most!), and make sure we're doing those things every lesson.
In the second and third lessons, we'll be able to start to see where you can improve and we'll start to focus on those areas. The best way to keep the fun going, is to see early improvements in your game! We'll look at the way you grip the racket, your footwork, and your swing, which will enable us to zero-in on how you can improve the quickest!
We'll also do a quick review of the unique scoring in tennis, if you're not already familiar with it.
