Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIn the first lesson, I focus on making the player comfortable and confident on court. We start with basic coordination, footwork, and hand-eye drills using mini rallies and shadow swings. I assess grip, movement, and natural tendencies, then introduce simple forehand and backhand technique with easy feeding to build rhythm and timing
Lesson 11+Once the fundamentals are solid, we move into performance training. I tailor each session to the player’s goals — whether it’s improving consistency, preparing for tournaments, or simply playing smarter tennis. We work on advanced shot combinations, serve variation, mental focus, and match strategy. Players start learning how to construct points, adapt under pressure, and dominate with confidence. Every session feels like a step closer to playing at a competitive level
Lesson 4-10From here, we focus on developing match skills — combining technique, footwork, and strategy. Players learn topspin, approach shots, volleys, and better serve placement. I integrate match-play drills and mini-games to improve anticipation, reaction, and mental focus. By lesson 10, you’ll be able to rally, serve, and play full points confidently
Lesson 2-3These sessions focus on improving consistency and control. We work on rallying from the baseline, adding movement and direction targets. I introduce serve and return fundamentals, teach how to keep score, and build confidence through fun point-based drills. The goal is to start feeling like a real player by the end of the third session
