Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWell start with the basics which is the fundamentals of tennis, which includes the facts of the game, rules, and most importantly philosophy! I like to use the three crowns “ Effort attitude, and sportsmanship” then warm ups and stretches to get you warmed up and safe!
Lesson 2-3How to hold a tennis racket, and proper form. We’ll probably start up at the net in the service box. We’ll focus on control and accuracy, hitting the ball over the net.
Lesson 4-10We’ll work on ground strokes like forehand and backhands, go over where you should stand I. The court and you’re presence of where you are. How to approach short balls, long, fast or slow and high or low. And we’ll spend lots of time working on serves as it is the only point you have controls over also returning serve is a crucial skill!
Lesson 11+Finally we'll apply your skills in real-game scenarios with guided practice sessions, focusing on point construction and match play. We'll introduce you to advanced techniques like topspin, slice, and approach shots, preparing you for more competitive play. Note: Tennis is as much if not more of a mental sport then it is physical, you need to be prepared for anything to mess up you’re point or game, but don’t let it deter you, have fun! You won’t magically get better overnight but with time and lots of practice you’ll find yourself somewhere where you could be proud doing what you love!
