Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI would help warm up your wrists and elbow with techniques that help you get used to the feeling of holding the racquet. It would be basic footwork fundamentals that teach you how to move properly on the court. And then I would show you basic forehand mechanics to at least get you to get the ball.
Lesson 11+By lesson 15, you should be able to hit forehands, backhands, serves, and volleys. Each student learns differently and some take time more than others. What helps outside of lessons is shadow swinging or hitting with another beginner to use the techniques you have learned.
Lesson 4-10By this time, we should be focusing on small rallies back and forth. I would instruct you on how to hit a basic serve emphasis on tossing and swing motion as well. It would require at least 3-4 lessons to get started on serve motion. In the same lesson, we would also continue to develop rally balls and consistency.
Lesson 2-3You can expect to see more fundamental lessons on forehand and backhand and basic footwork movements. We would develop your swing so you could swing naturally without feeling hesitant.
