About your tennis coach
PTR Certified Professional. In his junior age, competed in 12u,14u &16u where he was ranked in top 20 juniors in national list. He graduated with a degree in sports and physical education in 2014. Since 2018 been proudly representing the USTA in Fairfax schools with a leading Net generation program. Was working as tennis pro with Blue Chip Academy and Timuquana country club in Florida. Since 2021 is a self-employed coach that provides private and group classes for beginner to to high performance tennis players, coordinating junior and adult programs, leading Club social events. His love for racket sports was enriched with a PPR certificate, he is also skillful in racket stringing. Felt a deep desire to share his experience, enthusiasm, and knowledge in helping junior and adult tennis players take their game to the next level. Although his competitive days are mostly behind him Stefan still plays at a 5.0 level.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIn the first tennis lesson, I focused on making the student feel comfortable and excited about learning. We started with a quick warm-up to loosen up, then moved into basic racket handling and footwork. I introduced the forehand stroke, emphasizing proper grip and body positioning. We practiced slow, controlled swings, and I gave simple cues to help with timing and coordination. Throughout the session, I kept things light and encouraging, making sure they had fun while picking up the fundamentals. By the end, they were already rallying a few balls—great start!
Lesson 11+As the student gains confidence, we’ll start integrating all strokes into point-based drills. We’ll introduce serve and return scenarios, approach shots, and encourage them to recognize opportunities to come to the net. Basic tactical concepts like hitting to open space, changing direction, and shot selection will be gently introduced.
Lesson 4-10Over the next seven lessons, the focus will be on building consistency, expanding shot variety, and introducing real-game situations. We’ll continue refining the core strokes—forehand, backhand, and serve—while adding new elements like volleys, footwork patterns, and basic strategy.
Lesson 2-3we worked on combining forehand and backhand in simple rally drills. I introduced basic footwork patterns and how to recover after each shot. We also touched on the serve—just the motion and toss for now. The student is gaining confidence and starting to anticipate the ball better. Focus is still on fundamentals, but we’re building rhythm and control.
