I will always vouch for Spencer as a coach and here’s why. First, he is naturally just a good teacher. Spencer breaks tennis down into easy concepts and it helps me learn and see tremendous progress in my game. Second, the rate he charges is very fair and far below what most coaches would charge. Third, he is always on time and makes sure every minute of your practice is utilized. Can’t ask for a better coach for the price.

I am a retiree looking to play tennis to keep me in shape and healthy. Spencer is an outstanding coach and athlete and makes playing tennis very fun. One thing I look for in a coach of any sports is patience. I am brand new to tennis and not very good to say the least. The first 2 lessons I struggled heavily but Spencer is so patient and amazing to work with. Now a few lessons later I’m able to hit decent ground strokes and as Spencer would always say “getting better every day”.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will consist of practicing and perfecting the various tennis swings and techniques.
Lesson 11+Once your forehand and backhand becomes sufficient, you will learn the more advanced shots such as slices, lobs, volleys, smashes and serves.
This will allow you to be competent enough to play an actual competitive tennis match.
Lesson 4-10Perfecting the forehand and backhand will be the highlight of these lessons. You will also learn to incorporate these strokes into an actual rally
Lesson 2-3The next lessons will emphasize applying the tennis swings into motion through proper ground strokes
Advanced training plan
Youth players
Working with kidsMy lesson plans for all ages are the same, but I have coached many young kids and what I found to work very well is giving them genuine compliments and cultivating their confidence.
Working with teenagersTeenagers are naturally competitive and want to be pushed, and that is exactly how I approach it. I will give them constructive feedback while also giving them motivation to become better tennis players.
