Let's unlock your potential and make your tennis dreams a reality. I'm a former professional tennis player who played on the ATP Tour for several years. I grew up playing the same ITF tournaments with Rafael Nadal , Andy Murray, Richard Gasquet and Jo Wilfred Tsonga. I started teaching in 2008 at Chris Evert Tennis Academy, one of the famous tennis academies in the US in Boca Raton, Florida. I moved to the bay area in 2009 and worked with Eagle Fustar the same year and The Harker School for over 3 years as head coach. I love to spread the culture of learning and transfer my knowledge those in need . I'm currently a PTR Professional certified coach and have a high standard of playing and teaching skill. These experiences gave me the knowledge to train and develop tennis players from entry level , intermediate level and advance level players I work with all age group and level of play for a better and satisfying game ACHIEVEMENT AND AWARD I coached was hitting partner with Madison Keys in 2008-2009 at Chris Evert Academy currently ranked number 7 in the WTA and recently won the Australian open 2025 PTR professional certified with 10 and under, junior development and Adult development I helped 8 players making to college tennis teams in the past 8 years. Seydou is a great coach! He's very patient, thorough, and breaks down the technical aspects of tennis very well. I've tried other coaches and tennis camps where the focus is just trying to give you general techniques on hitting balls (ie tips like swing sooner or move your feet more), but Seydou actually breaks down what you are doing wrong and how you can improve with everything from your footwork, grip, swing, and movement. He's retaught my ground strokes starting with teaching me about how to do a proper loop to using my feet in the right moments to hit the ball to generate more power. It's only been about 6 months since I've been taking private lessons with Seydou, but I've seen a significant improvement in my game. I'm able to hit balls with more power with control, going from a barely 3.0 to a solid 3.5 player - even being able to keep pace in hitting with 4.0+ players. I've been playing since I was 10 years old so it's been a lot of bad habits that I've had to unwind, and definitely moments of frustration with myself, but I've been patient with the process, trusted Seydou's advice, and have been very happy with the improvements to my game! Also, what inspired me to start with Seydou was seeing how he worked with my boyfriend. My boyfriend had zero knowledge of tennis and only picked it up during the summer of 2021. He excelled in his game so quickly in less than 1 year, and was beating me consistently in games demonstrated how good Seydou’s coaching was and motivated me to do lessons with Seydou too! If you're looking for an investment on your personal game and don't want just generic advice, I'd recommend trying Seydou for private lessons.

During the lockdown, while others were busy trying to buy flour, I chose tennis as my pandemic hobby. I was playing for about 3-4 months before realizing that my skills were atrocious. My footwork and technique were all over the place, the ball would end up anywhere except where it needed to go, and my backhand was just a concept. Playing with my girlfriend, who's been hitting the tennis ball since she was 10, was humbling, to say the least. She consistently got the better of me, mostly because my game was riddled with errors. It was clear that I needed help, so I turned to Seydou's tennis coaching lessons. Starting from scratch, I dove into the basics. I learned everything from proper forehand technique to the importance of preparation, stance, unit turn, weight transfer, contact point, and follow through - you know, the works. Fast forward 1.5 years, my USTA rating now hovers around 3.5-4.0, and guess what? I've been regularly beating my girlfriend to the point where she's now taking lessons herself! All in all, Seydou's coaching has been a game changer for me. If you're willing to pay attention, focus, and put in the work, Seydou can do the same for your game. Can't recommend his tennis lessons enough if you're looking to up your tennis game and start hitting like a pro!

I have been training with Seydou for almost 2 years. I played and competed when I was younger, so I was looking for a coach that I could have intense hitting sessions with. Seydou offers both private and hitting lessons. He has a lot of really good experience playing professionally. I have seen him coach kids as well. He is really good. He completely changed my game. I wish I met him when I was younger. I've had many coaches throughout my life. Seydou is by far the best. He pushes you to work hard and has himself been through very intense training in his career. If you have a kid who wants to start competing, instead of going to an expensive club and paying a membership, I strongly recommend that you get some private lessons with Seydou. He has been to some of the best academies in the country. If you are intermediate or advanced and you are looking to drastically improve your game, Seydou can help you. He will show you how to setup points and how to stay mentally strong. He has had an ATP ranking. You can learn a lot about what tennis is like at that level. He is athletic and able to hit with you unlike most coaches at clubs who are older. This is a huge advantage. It is not easy to find a coach like Seydou in the bayarea.

I've had several tennis coaches before, and by far Seydou is the best. He is very knowledgeable about tennis techniques, and more importantly, he is full of passion when teaching. Seydou has a strong system of instructions. Coming to each class, he always knows what we have learned before, and what he plans to teach us next. When introducing a new stroke, he would break down each movement so that it is easy for beginners to understand. Also Seydou is very generous with his time, always willing to take extra time answering our questions. I truly enjoy coming to his class, learning something new, and chatting with Seydou. He has also shared with us about his plans to build tennis courts back in his home country, to provide a place for kids to learn tennis, and make tennis equipment more affordable. Seydou is an excellent coach on both technical skills and organization of class! My 12-year old daughter came to Seydou with zero experiece and knowledge about tennis. Seydou has a big picture in teaching classes, for instance, when starting a new skill teaching, the first focus always is to hit the ball with right movements, before moving to next focus in perfect details like the spot to hit the ball or the way hitting the ball. In just a few classes, my daughter was able to do both forehand and backhand strokes without dropping the ball! Seydou always brought fun to class with all kinds of activities and got interest for tennis out of my daughter. Now my daughter is getting eager to go to the tennis class with Seydou! Highly recommend Seydou for any beginner looking for an experienced and patient coach!
