In the first lesson, I focus on assessing the student’s current ability and introducing the fundamentals of tennis in a fun and approachable way. We’ll cover grip, stance, and basic stroke mechanics, with plenty of time for guided practice and feedback. My goal is to ensure the student feels confident and excited to continue learning.
In the remaining lessons, the focus shifts to fine-tuning technique, improving fitness and agility, and introducing match play. The goal is to develop confidence in playing full games, understanding tactics, and enjoying tennis as both a sport and a lifelong skill. Every lesson will be engaging, supportive, and tailored to the student’s unique needs.
From lessons 4 to 10, beginners can expect to progress significantly. We’ll incorporate more advanced techniques like volleys, serves, and rallying while focusing on consistency and control. By this stage, the student will begin to feel more comfortable with gameplay and strategy through drills and practice games.
In the second and third lessons, we’ll build on the basics by refining strokes like the forehand and backhand while introducing footwork and positioning. Beginners can expect fun drills and games to develop consistency and coordination, along with a focus on understanding the court and rules.
