Rachel Cross joined the Tufts women's tennis coaching staff in the spring of 2023 after starring for the Ephs of Williams College over the from 2018-2021. As a member of the Williams tennis team, she was nominated for the NESCAC Senior Sportswoman All-Conference Award, while also earning a spot on the NESCAC Spring All-Sportsmanship Team. Cross played No. 2 singles and doubles for the Ephs, and was part of a 2018 NESCAC title-winning squad and NCAA semifinalist team. Cross was a team captain her senior season at Williams, and was the only player to win the team-awarded Torrence M. Hunt Tennis Award, given to the player who made a significant contribution to the team. Cross was a singles All-American in 2018, and was nominated for the Universal Tennis Ranking Player to Watch honor which is given to a freshman at college with great potential. A Dean's List honoree for six semesters at Williams, Cross was a three-time ITA All-Academic and Scholar honoree, while earning ITA D3 Scholar-Athlete and NESCAC All-Academic laurels as well. Cross graduated from Williams with a degree in biology.
