With over 20 years of dedication to the sport, I bring both playing and coaching experience to every lesson. As a former varsity and college player who has competed in CIF, USTA, UTR, and Ojai tournaments, I understand the demands of high-level competition. Since 2014, I’ve coached players ranging from beginners to advanced athletes, leading teams to league titles. My approach combines technical instruction with game strategy, always tailored to each player’s goals and style. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonOur first lessons will be about getting comfortable with the tennis racket and balls while learning the fundamentals of the game. We’ll work through specific drills designed to build proper mechanics and form. Each session will be progression-based, ensuring players develop skills step by step with a strong foundation. Eventually leading into basic ground strokes foundations.
Lesson 11+As players continue to improve, lessons will focus on refining mechanics and technique while introducing rallying and match play. We’ll also emphasize strategies for self-improvement, helping players learn how to make adjustments and continue developing their skills during lessons and beyond.
Lesson 4-10During lessons 4–10, the focus will be on consistency and technique. Students will continue developing their strokes through structured drills, ensuring steady improvement with each session. As players progress, we’ll introduce new skills such as serving and volleys to expand their overall game.
Lesson 2-3In the following 2–3 lessons, we’ll continue to build on the fundamentals introduced in the first session. Players will take on more challenging drills that focus on consistency, timing, and control. As skills progress, we’ll place greater emphasis on developing strong groundstrokes, adjusting the pace and difficulty based on each player’s growth.
Youth players
Working with teenagersWhen coaching teenagers, it’s important to use the right drills, equipment, and teaching methods tailored to each player. Lessons will be adapted based on the player’s athleticism, coordination, and experience to ensure effective development and a positive learning environment.
