Mourad Fahim is a seasoned tennis coach and former highly ranked player with a rich background in player development. Currently working with two players starting on the ATP Tour, including one ranked #1518. Started coaching juniors in Casablanca, the journey advanced through success as the head coach at Woodberry Forest School, winning league titles and Coach of the Year awards multiple times. Mourad also guided two juniors to #700 and #77 ITF rankings, including at the 2023 US Open. A former top 10 player in Morocco, he played Division I at Radford University, earning MVP and other honors.

I worked with Mourad from 2014-2022 at Woodberry Forest School where he was our head Varsity tennis coach. Â Mourad is first and foremost a good man, one who is warm, kind, generous, and thoughtful. Â He is very approachable, and our young men on the tennis team during those years really learned a tremendous amount about the game under his guidance. Â Mouradâs knowledge and experience helped us win Prep League championships, and it was no surprise when he was voted Coach of the Year by the other coaches in our league on more than one occasion. Â Mourad works well with his players because of his patience, persistence, and passion for the game. Â He is levelheaded and humble, and he realizes that it is important to know how to gracefully handle both wins and losses while demonstrating sportsmanship at the utmost level. Â I thoroughly enjoyed working with Mourad and I cherish our friendship. Â I wholeheartedly recommend him as a coach and can attest that he makes a very positive and long-lasting impact on his players.

Youth players
Working with kidsI start by teaching the stroke mechanics. At this age, it's very important to have a sound technique. It's the base where future progress can occur. I move on to teaching strategy and tactics. I also work on making my student an athlete first. So I work on developing good footwork, speed, agility, strength, and flexibility through exercises adapted to the child's age.
Working with teenagersI start with a comprehensive assessment to find out where the student is technically, tactically, physically, and mentally/emotionally. I then devise a plan to work on all those areas simultaneously, starting with the area that needs the most work. This will ensure rapid progress using targeted drills and exercises.
