About your tennis coach

Fluent in both English and Russian, I bring over 15 years of tennis experience to the court. I started playing at age 6 in Belarus, training under several private coaches who gave me a strong foundation in technique, strategy, fitness, and discipline. My playing career included competing in national tournaments, where I developed the skills and mindset I now pass on to my students. I began coaching as an assistant in 2017 and became a full coach in 2020. Since moving to Florida in 2021, I’ve continued helping players of all levels: from beginners learning the basics to advanced students. My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to your goals, whether you’re looking to improve fitness, refine technique, or anything else.

Nick has been working with my 12-year-old daughter for over a year now, and the transformation in her confidence and technique is amazing. He strikes the perfect balance between discipline and fun, and he really knows how to connect with young players. She looks forward to every lesson and has even started winning local tournaments!

My friends and I signed up for weekly group lessons with Nick and we couldn’t be happier. He manages to give each of us individual attention while keeping the sessions upbeat and focused. We’re all at slightly different skill levels, but he makes it work seamlessly. Great mix of drills, games, and constructive feedback.

I’ve been playing tennis for years just for fun, but wanted to clean up my strokes and get a better workout. Nick is awesome — laid-back but knowledgeable, and the sessions are always challenging and engaging. My backhand has never felt this solid! Definitely recommend him for adults who want to step up their game.

I hadn’t picked up a racket in over 10 years and was nervous about getting back into tennis. Nick made it easy. His coaching style is supportive and motivating, and he quickly helped me rebuild my strokes and confidence. After just a few weeks, I’m playing full sets again—and loving the game more than ever!
Jack
Our son started lessons with Nick to get ready for high school tennis tryouts, and it was the best decision we made. Nick built his confidence, improved his technique, and taught him how to compete under pressure. We’re incredibly grateful for Nick’s guidance.
Alex
Training with Nick has been a game-changer for me. His tactical insights are next-level, and he’s helped me fine-tune my point construction and decision-making under pressure. Nick doesn’t just drill technique—he builds match-ready players. If you’re serious about competing, he’s the coach you want in your corner.

Beginner training plan
Your first lesson • Determine your skills and experience level • Assess your confidence with the racket • Practice forehand and backhand strokes • Evaluate the quality of your techniques • Focus on technical aspects of each stroke
Lesson 11+ • Practice new types of strokes: volleys, serves, and net play • Focus primarily on proper techniques • Work on improving weak spots • Develop better movement and footwork • Transition toward competitive play after gaining enough experience • Discuss strategies and advanced techniques for match situations
Lesson 4-10 • Review and repeat all basics learned so far • Shift focus toward more practice-based sessions • Improve shot accuracy • Emphasize movement and proper techniques • Correct errors one by one • Build confidence through consistent drills • Play together, aiming to keep the ball in play as long as possible
Lesson 2-3 • Begin with warm-up exercises • Do stretching exercises for flexibility • Focus on movement and footwork • Practice forehand and backhand again

Lesson 11+ • Advanced stroke development • Advanced tactical play: exploiting opponent weaknesses, building winning patterns • Singles and doubles strategies (serve + volley, poaching, formations) • Tournament preparation: pre-match routines and recovery methods • Ongoing fitness development: strength training, injury prevention, mobility work
Lesson 4-10 • Refine groundstrokes with topspin and directional control • Serve variations: flat, topspin, slice (emphasis on accuracy before power) • Approach shots and transition to the net • Net play: volleys, half-volleys, overhead smashes • Tactical awareness: shot selection, court positioning, and anticipation • Match-play simulations (tie-breaks, point construction drills) • Physical conditioning: agility ladders, sprints, and endurance training • Mental training: focus, breathing techniques, and handling pressure
Lesson 2-3 • Reinforce grips and correct any technical issues • Develop consistent forehand and backhand groundstrokes • Introduce the serve motion with emphasis on rhythm and timing • Rally-based footwork patterns (split step, side shuffle, recovery) • Basic introduction to volleys and overheads at the net • Controlled point play (short rallies to build confidence)
