Beginner training plan
Your first lessonEvaluate the player’s current level: coordination, grip, swing path, footwork, contact point, and basic tactical understanding.
Teach the fundamentals: proper grip, ready position, basic forehand & backhand technique, swing mechanics, and simple footwork patterns.
Finish with clear feedback and a plan for the next lessons.
Lesson 11+A beginner at this stage can expect:
• Consistent rallies from the baseline
• Basic understanding of grips, contact point, and movement
• Ability to serve with a proper motion
• More confidence in point play
• Awareness of simple tactics (deep balls, cross-court, consistency)
• A structured plan to move from beginner to intermediate
Lesson 4-10Progressively develop all core skills:
• Forehand & backhand consistency
• Introduction to topspin & directional control
• Basic serve mechanics + return fundamentals
• Volleys & simple net play
• Movement patterns, recovery steps & balance
• Rally stability and simple point strategy
Each lesson includes warm-up, focused drills, technical correction, and short gameplay to apply what they learned.
