Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson will consist of asking what your goals are in tennis. We will get a feel for your level and evaluate all strokes. This may also include what each part of the court is called, scoring, rules, etc.
Lesson 11+At this point, footwork will be properly taught once the groundstrokes are sound enough to maintain rallies at a slow to medium pace. I always say tennis is played with the feet, although we hit the ball with a racquet. ;)
Lesson 4-10At this point, you should have a solid foundation of the grips and low to high swing path on both forehand and backhand. This is where the consistent improves greatly and rally games become much more fun.
