I was pretty nervous since I’ve never played before, but she is so patient and really knowledgeable about how to explain the techniques. The pace felt manageable, and I learned a lot more than I expected. Would definitely recommend if you’re a beginner trying to learn!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson with a beginner is understanding what they already know about tennis, whether it’s knowledge of the game or how they hold their grip - I want to know it all and see what they’ve got on the court. Then, we talk about goals and what the student wants to achieve. Together, we can make a plan moving forward for the next lessons.
Lesson 11+We always have to master the basics. Lessons will always differ depending on what needs to be worked on - this will mean, a mix of hand-fed balls for corrections, movement drills to focus on footwork, or hitting practice for consistency and testing out our new technique! We’ll take each lesson day by day to see what needs to be done to take your game to the next level.
Lesson 4-10Let’s keep on improving! Whether we need to keep on working on technique, or all the while making minor adjustments, we will continue to do so by feeding balls and slowly incorporating movement to increase the challenge!
Lesson 2-3Let’s put our plan into action! Most likely, we will be focusing on technique, proper grip, and swing motion. These lessons will most likely be hand-fed balls to make sure we are putting the right things to practice, with precise and hands-on corrections to make sure we’re getting things right.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonOur first lesson will begin with a hitting session - I want to see your skills! Next, we will talk about your goals and what you’re feeling on court. From there, we will come up with a plan and figure out how to elevate your game.
Lesson 11+In these lessons, you can expect lots of hitting and point-play to put all the skills you’ve learned and adjusted into real situations! Let’s see what you’ve got!
Lesson 4-10We always need to focus on our basics and find ways to improve - therefore, lessons will always be a mix of feeds and live ball drills depending on what’s needed. In these lessons, we will also begin to incorporate strategy into the mix and learning how to build a point favorable to your game style.
Lesson 2-3These lessons will be very focused and detailed - we will mix feeding with live ball drills in order to hone in on our plan for improvement. If minor adjustments and technical issues are needed, we will also focus on those too!

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with kids, it’s very important to master the basics, all while keeping them entertained. For this reason, the lesson isn’t just about holding a tennis racket and hitting a ball - it’s about moving, learning hand-eye coordination, footwork, and playing games too!

Working with teenagersWhen working with teenagers, it’s important to have fun! At this age, I was experiencing burnout with tennis and being able to have someone to talk to can also prevent this. We can work together and understand what goals are wanting to be achieved, and find a plan to move forward together that is beneficial for everyone! Communication and fun is key!

What you need to bringStudents should bring a racket, if they have one of their own, a water bottle, towel, and a good attitude😊

What I can bringI can provide balls, cones, and a tennis racket if needed.
