Having never picked up a racket before six weeks of rec center classes, I started working with Justin. I had so many questions and was really lacking in skills. With Justin’s help, I’ve learned how to hit a topspin forehand. He helped me to see that I was better suited to a one-handed backhand, and I’ve been able to develop that much better than the two-handed shot I was doing. He’s very knowledgeable about tennis and knows what I need to learn besides just the basic groundstrokes. I couldn’t ask for a better coach.

I’ve been taking lessons from Justin for about eight months. Even though I played many, many years ago, I was basically an older beginner when I started playing again. Justin always asks what I want to work on and adds to that the skills he knows I will need. He’s patient and encouraging, which has helped my confidence level. Justin is also very flexible about accommodating my schedule. I always look forward to my lessons and have nothing but positive things to say about him

Justin does a great job coaching my daughter, who plays for the WNHS tennis team. He’s knowledgeable, passionate about teaching tennis, and she enjoys learning from him. We appreciate that he’s flexible with our schedule and comes to our Westerville location. I highly recommend him!
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI teach how to grip the racquet. I teach them how to swing the racquet. Then I teach them how to move in tennis.
Lesson 11+We start to focus on the students individual strengths and how they should approach playing matches.
Lesson 4-10Depending on the students progress lessons, the goal is to have learned all aspects of the game. Serve, return, ground strokes, volleys, overheads, approach shots.
