Beginner training plan
Your first lessonYou are going to learn the fundamentals of groundstrokes (grip, technique forhand and backhand) + footwork. By the end of class you will be able to rally. But most importantly, you are going to have fun!
Lesson 11+In addition to consistency and direction, we will add power to your shots. We will also work on strategy and point play in order to feel better on the court.
Lesson 4-10Keep building consistency + direction in every stroke. We will now start to play some points and work on drills to get you to the next level.
Lesson 2-3Volleys and serves added to the first lesson. We will also do groundstrokes every class in order for you to build consistency and directions.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI first want to see how they play, and I would ask them what would they want to get out of taking lessons with me. Ones I know what they want, we go from there.
Lesson 11+Little adjustments if needed, but mostly working on point play, strategy, and anything that the player needs when competing.

How it works
Expect detailed work on what we spoke about the very first lessons. We will be spreading out the work in order to become automatic by lesson 5/6. My goal is to work with you towards your needs.
Lesson 2-3If player needs help on any specific stroke, we will do drills and exercises to make the player perform better, but most importantly have fun and rally a lot!
Youth players
Working with kidsFun and learnable, I will do a 10 min warm up where we will have fun hand eye coordination drills with and without racquet, and we will work mostly on groundstrokes doing drills and fun games. Eventually we will add volleys and serves to the lesson!
Working with teenagersFun warm up, stretches, and drills with racquet. Fun and learnable class where they will learn groundstrokes, volleys, and serves. Most importantly for them to have fun and be able to rally + play points.
What you need to bringTheir own racquet, if student doesn’t have a racquet make sure you tell me so that I can bring one for them!
What I can bringBalls, cones, dots.

About your tennis coach

With over 20 years of experience on the court, I bring a deep passion and understanding of tennis to every lesson. I competed professionally, reaching the main draw in Futures events, and played NCAA Division II college tennis, achieving a national ranking as high as #2 in singles. For the past 10 years, I’ve coached players of all ages and skill levels—from beginners to high-performance athletes. Whether you're picking up a racquet for the first time or looking to fine-tune your game, I'm here to help you grow, compete, and enjoy the sport.
