I’ve worked with coach Joe throughout my entire high school career, his coaching was always focused on improving my game, not changing who I was as a player. Every lesson had a personal and intentional approach with drills and feedback tailored to help me grow on and off the court.
What stood out was how his coaching carried over into life outside of tennis, he helped me become a better player and a better person without trying to make me someone I wasn’t.
The time I spent with coach Joe was genuine, I truly believe anyone can gain something meaningful from a lesson with him.

I have worked with coach Joe for a little over two years, as a middle-aged player I was not sure if my game could change for the better and I am happy to say that many areas of my game have improved.
Starting with conditioning and how to warm up properly to prevent injury, fundamentals with basic stroke improvement in form and follow through including movement and learning to read an opponent to anticipate the next shot.
Just as important is the mental side of the game and maintaining a positive attitude, with everything from body language and how I talk to myself, emphasizing his ‘ten second rule’, learning how to let go of the last point, mistake or not there’s another point to play.
Overall I would only say great things about what Joe has done for my tennis game…a very positive attitude and influence.

I’ve lived in the same community with Joe for the last eighteen months, we’ve played tennis together several times weekly in the greater Palm Springs area with our advanced group at our local club.
Before he arrived Joe had established himself as principal owner and instructor at his P.A.C.E. Academy (Positive Attitude Changes Everything) in the Los Angeles area.
Joe also finds time to volunteer as a member of the operations staff at The BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, a major professional tennis tournament drawing the world’s best players.
For me personally and with reference to Joe’s tennis acumen, experience and demeanor’, he has taken me under his ‘instructional wing’ and provided me with numerous suggestions and tips that have not only improved my overall game but has taken me to the next level.
It’s one thing for Joe to be a skilled & competitive player but it takes a special person with the mindset, communication skills, personality and tenacity to impart that to others, Joe is the embodiment of this type of individual.
I would highly recommend Joe to anyone interested in learning to play the game, or looking to take their game to the next level.
