Jim Richards grew up in Oxford, England and played college tennis for the University College of Wales. Jim has worked in Florida, Texas, and Georgia and has been a Junior Program Director, Junior Tennis School Owner, and Director of Racquet Sports at Regional Tennis Centers, Resorts, and Country Clubs. Jim has coached several number one state and national juniors along with high-ranking ITF juniors and has done short term project work for professional players. I offer a flexible teaching approach suited to any lesson a student may want. Iβm experienced in coaching all ages and skill levels, from beginners to nationally ranked juniors and tour-level players. My coaching philosophy is fun with fundamentals. My core value is to build confidence and skills by being "brilliant with basics." Jim is Steve Smith trained, is USPTA certified P1 Elite Professional, and USTA Level II Sport Psychology and Motor Learning certified. He is a GPTA Board Member, USPTA & GPTA speaker and was awarded GPTA Head Pro of the year in 2018. He is also an article contributor for Florida Tennis, Net News, USPTA Standard, USPTA ADDvantage Magazine, and a contributing Editor for Serve It Up magazine.
