Beginner training plan
Your first lessonBasic fundamentals:
- how to hold the racquet (proper grip)
- learn proper form/technique of basic groundstroke (forehand)
- teach preparation to hit basic groundstroke (forehand)
Lesson 11+Lesson 11+ Continue building on forehand/backhand/serve consistency. Introduce volleying as well as conditioning.
Onward progressions: consistency -> placement -> power -> incorporating strategy
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4-5: Continue with forehand/backhand instruction.
Lessons 6-8: Add serving instruction to the lesson
Lessons 9-10: Continue forehand/backhand/serve instruction (focusing on consistency with groundstrokes and proper form with serve)
Lesson 2-3*Build on what was learned in the first lesson
Introduce backhand applying instruction from forehand lesson
Advanced training plan
Your first lesson- Learn about player’s tennis experience
- Establish player’s goals
- Introduce conditioning plan
- Work through every stroke to determine what immediate improvements player needs to make
Lesson 11+- Apply the product built in lessons 4-10 through different strategies for match play
Lesson 4-10- Continue mastering consistency -> placement -> power
- Build player’s game around their strengths and work on defending their weaknesses
