I’ve had three lessons with Jasmine so far and my child really seems to enjoy her approach. She’s patient, encouraging, and keeps things engaging, which is pretty helpful. Though, I think working on the backhand during our lessons could make a difference. Still, her way of giving homework to reinforce what we learn shows she’s genuinely invested. If you're looking for a steady guide, it’s worth trying Jasmine.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI Will greet them warmly, build comfort and confidence. Ask about their goals Do they just want to play socially? Compete? Briefly explain what they’ll learn in today’s session for the first 5min. Then will have a light jog, side shuffles, skipping—something playful to loosen up. Introduce basic tennis movements (split step, side-to-side shuffle) for the next 5 to 10min. I'll show them how to hold the racket. Let them feel the racket, bounce balls on the ground and off the strings for 5min. I will demonstrate a short, simple swing (contact out in front, follow-through). Use drop-feeds (you drop the ball, they hit) before progressing to gentle rallies. Keep corrections minimal—focus on contact and fun over technique perfection for 5 to 10min. We will play cooperative games (how many balls can we keep going in a row?). This gives them early success and enjoyment for 10min I will review what they learned (grip, forehand basics, movement). I will give them something simple to practice at home (e.g., bounce the ball on racket 20 times) for 5min.
Lesson 11+From lesson 11 onward, the goal shifts from “learning strokes” to developing consistency, tactics, and match confidence.
Lesson 4-10After the first three lessons, a beginner should have a foundation (grip, forehand, backhand, rally basics, serve introduction, and volley basics). Lessons 4 through 10 should gradually expand skills, consistency, and confidence—while introducing match play.
Lesson 2-3By the second lesson, they’ll feel comfortable rallying and starting serves. By the third lesson, they’ll have a taste of real play (serve, return, volley, rally)—which builds excitement and confidence.

Youth players
Working with kids🎾 Teaching kids tennis is very different from teaching adults—you need to adapt both the content and the delivery style to match their age, attention span, and physical development.

Working with teenagersWorking with teenagers to teach tennis can be fun, challenging, and rewarding because they’re old enough to understand technique and strategy but still need motivation and guidance to stay engaged.

What you need to bringTennis Racket, Proper footwaer, water for hydration, Towel Optional; Sunscreen, wristbands, Tennis balls, Snacks
