Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe’ll start by assessing the player’s current skill level, confidence, and comfort on court. I focus on identifying which foundational strokes (forehand, backhand, serve) need the most attention and provide a clear breakdown of what to expect going forward.
Lesson 2-3We begin to reinforce proper technique and footwork fundamentals, correcting habits and building confidence through simple rally patterns and repetition-based drills.
Lesson 4-10Players can expect noticeable improvement in timing, consistency, and placement. We’ll introduce live-ball rallying, directional control, and some intro-level point play.
Lesson 11+At this stage, players will have a solid technical base and the confidence to rally, serve, and compete casually. I also introduce situational strategies to prepare them for match play and social games.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonAs a former Division I and professional player, I begin by hitting with the client to evaluate their overall game—technical strengths, consistency under pressure, and tactical awareness. Based on this assessment, I tailor a plan that targets their specific goals and development areas.
Lesson 2-3We begin refining technique across all major strokes, improving shot variety, and enhancing footwork efficiency. Players will be challenged with point-based drills and fed live balls to simulate real match conditions.
