I loved the review session with Gustavo. It was a great chance to go over everything and sharpen my skills. The lesson was well organized and enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re thinking about improving your game, Gustavo’s lessons are definitely worth trying out!

Gustavo's lesson was quite helpful overall, especially since I noticed some improvements in my technique. Although I still need to work on my backhand, I feel more confident about the fundamentals now. Still, I think with a bit more focus on specific strokes, I could see even better results. If you're into a steady, thoughtful approach, Gustavo might be worth considering.

Interesting start, lesson momentum clicked, and that “Love it” highlight still echoes. I’m pushed to aim higher this week, continuing toward the goal with steady focus.

My daughter has taken various lessons with coach Gustavo. She initially played with orange ball with a kid size racquet and had many issues in the group classes. I initially thought my child had difficulty with the sport, but with coach Gustavo she is now beginning to play with an adult racquet utilizing the green ball.

Gustavo has encouraged me to play UTR tennis by helping me establish a solid foundation. The process has been difficult, but he helps me find more joy to the game.

Gustavo understands how to engage my motivation. I’m a high school tennis player and I find it difficult to train due to school. So it helps to have a coach who gives me straight forward home exercises. Also I never knew I could practice without my racquet.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonObserve, observe, and observe is a key component in the first lesson 🔬.I want to value the player’s current playing ability and progressively assist in the technical parameters.
Lesson 11+In my experience many of my clients improve in a short period of time but experience regression during free play in their own time. This period is frustrating 😫 but important and during our lessons I establish simple methods to encourage progression 😊
Lesson 4-10To put it simply growth, although growth is based on the energy, effort, and intensity set by the client. My aim 🎯in this period is to ensure your growth is on track and your skill development is leading to autonomy. In other words, my goal is to get the client to actively think less on their technical issues.
Lesson 2-3Establish an attainable replicable pattern of success. Whether it be hitting groundstrokes with consistency or moving more effectively we encourage repetition of the technical parameter requiring improvement 📈

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonObservation 🔬session were I will determine level of technique and tactic. In this session goal setting is very relevant because I want to make sure every minute spent on the court is intentional. We will create an outline for development in the next couple of weeks.
Lesson 11+Once the player has established or developed a respective foundational tool 🛠️we will work on simulating live patterns. This aspect of the lessons is were our exercises become very relatable to real situations. To enhance the lessons we can introduce simulated or real pressures in order to engage mental focus 🧠and fortitude💪.
Lesson 4-10Once a reasonable and bearable set of parameters are introduced we will work on controlled repetitions. These are “expected patterns” conducted mainly with dead ball drills. The goal of these exercises is to allow the player time ⌚️to adjust the newly learned parameter.
Lesson 2-3Depending on the goals 📝set we will work on certain key aspects in the player’s development. The focus on these sessions will vary from player to player but the foundational tools (technique, physique, tactic, mentality, and believe) will play a major role. Some foundational tools will be more relevant than others. For example a player with quality strokes but poor movement will require attention in the area of physique 🏃‍♀️🏃.Their program will place a higher importance on movement progressions.

Youth players
Working with kidsThe lessons with kids depends on their age group. A lesson with a child 5-8 will likely be fun 😃 and focused on developing general athletic activities: hand-eye coordination 👋🏽balance ⚖️, and movement 🏎️In later stages 8-12 we will focus on some general development with a focus on playing games similar to an actual tennis play or match♟️.These lessons can vary based on the focus, intensity, and discipline of the child.

Working with teenagersTeenagers can be tricky 😖 due to the source of motivation 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦.A child who actively seeks improvement because they enjoy the game will have a smoother transition in a lesson plan. These lessons can be similar to a beginner or an advanced player based on their level. A teenager who feels “forced” to play will be have a more difficult transition. For these clients I would advice to place the player with a friend 👭 👬 if 👫.In this way the experience can become a fun social activity where I will administer the session with this primary focus. If the player(s) decide to progress in their development then the lessons can be modified.
