Your first lessonGetting Started
Your first session covers the fundamentals: the rules and objectives of the game, proper grip, and body positioning. We’ll begin building your forehand and backhand groundstrokes from the ground up.
Lesson 2-3
We’ll expand on what you learned in lesson one, with a focus on consistently making clean contact with the ball. I’ll introduce topspin and flat shots, and we’ll start developing more power behind your strokes.
Lesson 4-10Repetition and Range
This is where your groundstrokes really start to solidify. Expect high-repetition drills focused on footwork, court positioning, and smoothly alternating between forehand and backhand. We’ll also begin layering in serves, volleys, and overhead smashes.
Lesson 11+ Putting It Into Practice
We’ll review everything you’ve learned, then start applying it in live play.
Advanced training plan
Youth players
Working with kidsI adapt my lessons to each child’s age, skill level, and personality. For younger children, I use fun games and engaging activities to develop coordination, balance, and basic tennis skills. For older or more advanced players, I focus on technique, footwork, strategy, and match play. My goal is to create a positive and motivating environment where kids can learn, build confidence, and enjoy the game while progressing at their own pace.
