About your tennis coach

Are you interested in tennis but it doesn’t seem like a fit for you? I have played for almost 7 years including at the collegiate level but did so with very little formal training due to costs and my original sport of basketball, I hope to bring affordable high energy tennis training to the fort wayne area for all ages. I know what it takes to play at several levels of the sport and want to help others achieve their potential!

Ive had all great experiences with Eli. He’s helped me with my form and especially the importance of it. He knows that not all ways are gonna be the same for each tennis player and he helped me find the way that best suited me. Definitely check him out.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI will watch them hit the ball a few times then teach them the basic grips to hold and basic swing mechanics
Lesson 11+I would hone their form in and start adding in points
Lesson 4-10I would build on the ground strokes and begin introducing the serve and volleys
Lesson 2-3I would build on their groundstroke swing mechanics teaching them proper form and helping them learn to rally

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI would watch the player hit and exchange some points with them, then talk about their goals to help build a plan for them.
Lesson 11+We would begin focusing more on point play and live ball skills and really developing match strategies and building up their weaknesses
Lesson 4-10We would continue building their athletic base and really start to sharpen their weapons with more live ball drills still with a major emphasis on footwork and skill progressions
Lesson 2-3We would focus on building a strong athletic base and cleaning up any major form issues, we would do a lot of drop feed drills like the Spanish X, focus a lot on foot work, and work through some serve progessions

Youth players
Working with kidsI would focus on letting the kids have fun and learning to love the sport while also teaching them proper hitting mechanics and fun drills and activities to do both together and on their own. It would be a high energy very encouraging environment focused on athletic development and building their confidence

Working with teenagersI would equip them with the tools needed to achieve their goals focus on building a strong athletic and skill base while maintaining a high energy encouraging environment to help make them someone who loves the game and becomes a better overall player.

What you need to bringA racquet, shoes, balls if you want to
