I start by getting to know the player and their goals while assessing their current skill level. We’ll cover the basic fundamentals, including grip, ready position, footwork, forehands, and backhands. I keep the first lesson fun and low-pressure while building a strong foundation.
We’ll continue developing consistent forehands and backhands while introducing volleys and serves. Players will begin working on movement, recovery, and rallying, with drills designed to help them feel more comfortable hitting the ball consistently.
We’ll build on the fundamentals and focus on consistency, placement, and point construction. Players will practice serving, returning, volleys, and longer rallies while learning basic strategies for playing actual points and matches.
Lessons become more personalized based on the player’s goals and progress. We’ll continue improving technique, movement, consistency, and match strategy while addressing specific areas that need work. The goal is to help each player become a more confident and independent tennis player.
