Courtney Steinbock was appointed as the Head Women's Tennis Coach at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) on August 28. With over 30 years of tennis experience, she led UIW to a 9-12 overall record in her first season, achieving notable wins against the New Jersey Institute of Technology and McNeese State University. The team made it to the semifinals of the Southland Conference Tournament. Before joining UIW, Steinbock coached at the University of Arkansas, where she helped a doubles team reach an ITA ranking of No. 8, and at the University of Houston, leading the team to a 20-4 record in 2018. She also had successful stints as an assistant coach at Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, Wichita State, and Washington State, contributing to numerous program advancements and accolades. A Lubbock, Texas native, Steinbock played for the University of Kansas, earning team MVP honors and First Team All-Big XII accolades.
