Hello! I'm Connor and I am a student studying computer science at IU Bloomington with over a decade of tennis experience. From competitive junior tournaments to club tennis for the college team, I've been deeply involved in the sport. I've also had the pleasure of working with tennis summer camps and teaching special needs children, which I loved. I'm excited to teach players of all ages and levels and help you become a better player!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonEvery lesson I like to start with a quick warmup to get the blood flowing along with some dynamic stretching. If you are a beginner, we will go over basics and ground strokes as well as volleys and an introduction to serves along with footwork. If you are an intermediate to advanced, we will spend it hitting and running drilling with minor to major tweaks in form. From then, we will discuss what you need to focus on and improve for the next potential lesson. However, if there is anything you really want to improve and focus on, we can do that too!
Lesson 4-10For all players, we will play a mini set and simulate a real match. After, we will continue to focus on what needs improvement. Whether it be serves, ground strokes, volleys and overheads, footwork, or something else, we’ll figure it out and work on it!
Lesson 2-3For beginners, just really working on getting a good swing pattern and form as well as footwork improvement. We will also do more volleys and introduce overheads as well as serves. It is important to remember that most of the progress that will be made will be from consistent practice and repetition, not just lessons! For intermediate and advanced, we will do more drills and more hitting. Drills include footwork, approach shots, precision training, volleys, baseline games, and more.

Youth players
Working with kidsI had a lot of experience with this at my summer camp, I used to teach kids aged from 3-11. Depending on their maturity level, I focus on what you and your child want out of it. Whether it be a fun stress reliever and hobby, or a future competitive sport or both, I want my student to be able to enjoy tennis and become a better player! Communication and patience are key as well as a supportive environment with positive reinforcement.
Working with teenagersAlong with advanced drills and techniques, I try and help them build confidence with how they play and empathize and importance of strategic playing and mental composure on the court as well as physical fitness.
