About your tennis coach
Hi I am coach Chris. I have been playing tennis since I started high school. I have been teaching it for over 10 years now. I teach all ages from very young to adults. I have worked with a group organization that teaches large groups as well as being the high school coach for Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale. I always teach with the intention to make it seem easier so that it is easy to pick up while trying to keep the game fun.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIntroduce how to hold a racket. Our first swing the forehand. Start to introduce the use of feet in the stroke
Lesson 2-3Start with a forehand drill. Introduce the backhand. Backhand drill. Combinig drills for both so we can build confidence for a rally.
Lesson 4-10Rally and begin to hit it back and forth. Have goals for how long we want the rally to go. If big mistakes are made we will bring it and talk about. Switch to a drill to cover how to improve then back to rallies.
Lesson 11+If the goal of the goal is eventually play matches against players will start talking strategy to win. Also work on serves and volleys which are more advanced depending on how the previous lessons have been going.
