How i Approaches Beginner Students 🎾
I believe every new player should start their tennis journey with confidence and excitement. That’s why all of my beginner classes are built around three core principles:
Safe- i create a welcoming environment where students learn the fundamentals step by step, using age-appropriate equipment and drills that prevent injury and build confidence.
Fun – Tennis should be enjoyable from day one! My sessions are interactive, filled with games and challenges that keep students engaged and motivated.
Teach – While having fun, students also learn proper technique, footwork, and basic strategy. I focus on building a strong foundation that will set them up for long-term success in the sport.
With this approach, I ensures that beginners not only learn the game, but also develop a genuine love for tennis.
Final Stage – Compete & Grow
After completing all beginner stages, players are ready to step into tournaments and leagues, gaining real match experience while continuing to grow their skills and love for the game.
My 4-10 Beginner Class 🎾
The stage of our beginner program focuses on putting everything together so students can enjoy the full tennis experience.
Match Play Basics – Introduction to tennis rules, scoring system, and court awareness.
Rally & Consistency – Practicing longer rallies, improving timing, and learning how to keep the ball in play.
Game Situations – Fun drills and point play that simulate real match conditions.
Confidence on Court – Students gain the skills and understanding to play matches with friends, family, or in beginner-level competitions.
By the end of this class, players not only know how to hit the ball—they know how to play the game.
My Second & Third Beginner Class 🎾
In the second stage of my beginner program, students build on the basics by learning stroke progression and developing the skills needed to enjoy real rallies and matches.
Grip & Stroke Foundations – Introduction to how to hold the racket properly, starting with the forehand and backhand.
Net Play – Learning the volley to gain confidence at the net.
Serving Skills – Step-by-step instruction on the serve, the most important shot to start every point.
By the end of this class, students are ready to rally and play matches with friends and family while enjoying the game with confidence.
