Bill Macom, Director of Tennis at St. Mary’s, is entering his sixth season in 2024-25. Under his leadership, both the men’s and women’s tennis teams have achieved significant success, including two Lone Star Conference Tournament titles, a regular season title, and four NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2023-24, he earned his 600th career win, and Selina Wu was named Freshman/Rookie of the Year in the Lone Star Conference and South Central Region. Macom's teams have consistently excelled academically, earning ITA All-Academic honors for 13 consecutive years. Several players have earned prestigious awards, including the ITA Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award. Previously, Macom coached at Florida Tech and Jacksonville University, leading teams to NCAA Regionals and earning the 2015 USPTA Florida College Coach of the Year award. He has a long history of tennis leadership, coaching, and playing experience.
