For 17 years, I've been sharing my passion for tennis with players of all levels. I am Division 1 athlete, I bring a unique blend of high-level experience and teaching expertise to every lesson. I am level 1 and 2 Certified and working on getting certified for wheelchair tennis. I got to work at the USTA for a summer for a internship on how to coach and teach tennis at another level. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson I will learn the basics of rule and shot of tennis. Learn what the shot mean as well with working with AD Skill.
If you are younger we will use soft ball more working on Athletic development and see where you skill level is at that.
Lesson 11+We will work on playing live as well as strategies when it comes to to playing other players in tennis. Putting everything that we works on into playing tennis point. As learn the scoring of the game and set as well as rules when playing double and singles
If younger seeing if you can keep a rally going
Lesson 4-10If your and adult we will work up from the ball so since we used softer ball in the beginning we will progress and use the yellow ball and works with getting consistent with ground strokes, volleys as well as serves
If younger will work on ground strokes and and the volley as well as serve
Lesson 2-3Will work with a soft ball just so we have control of the tennis ball. Working on ground stroke forehand and band hand as well as volleys and serves.
If the player is younger we will work on progressing and regressing on the tennis skill level but working on ground stroke
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson if your advanced I will do a player profile assessment to see the level you at. Ask the player whatโs their goals are.
Also if you just want a hitting partner I also do that.
Lesson 11+More of a match play style as well as working on strategies on how to bet an opponent as well as readying body language of an opponent.
Lesson 4-10Get pattern going that focus on being consistent as well working with placement. We will be working on placement over power. Many drills
Lesson 2-3Depend on you and what you want to work on we will just work on be consistent at the baseline
Youth players
Working with kidsWorking with kid it important that you donโt just jump into hitting a tennis ball. Need to start with baby steps like rolling the ball to each other. Making sure the kid is having fun. As well as working with Athletic departments.
Working with teenagersWorking with teens want to understand they know the proper grip in tennis and how how to chance them. Learn about athletic development and making sure they understand that game scoring systems. And most importantly is that they have fun!!
