Your first lessonBecoming familiar is important, first lessons are generally not intensive and are more so focused on becoming familiar with the racket and have a concept of what a general technique is supposed to feel like
Lesson 2-3Second and Third lesson the introduction of footwork and proper movement is what I focus on
Lesson 4-10Once there is a general understanding of technique and footwork, we can begin to hone these skills and I will continue tweaking any details that I see the player will develop bad habits from.
Lesson 11+The lessons become more advanced with time but also simple enough to hone each technique and footwork skills. The cardio can become more intensive since the player knows by now how to move to the ball, set up, and hit. So as the lessons continue we can continue to keep building correct muscle memory of the skills and also introducing new ones as we go.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonAdvanced players generally have a good understanding of proper footwork and technique. Not all of them do, and if they don’t I begin by observing how there footwork is to make any necessary adjustments. Generally we can begin to do live ball warm ups, crosses, directional, or specific feeding drill patterns depending on what the student thinks he/she needs to work on.
