Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThis for lesson is an assessment of abilities and how fast I can push the development of the game. I do not teach by using overcomplicated technical terminology. I teach mostly based on feel and the players’ ability. Every lesson is individualized and a beginner will have the same drill as an advanced player. The only thing is I am able scale back or up based on individual levels.
Lesson 11+We will continue with technique throughout the whole process, but the focus now has shifted from technique only to playing points and starting to be able to strategize.
Lesson 4-10On this next level of lessons, the focus will be on movement and adjustment and playing points. Now we have to use what we learned on lessons 1-3 in order to play the game.
Lesson 2-3After the initial assessment lesson in basics of hitting tennis balls, now we start a little more specific with forehands, backhands and volleys. Technique development will be aligned with the players’ abilities and commitment to long-term development or short-term goals. Players should be able to hit forehands, backhands, volleys and serves by the end of lesson three.

Youth players
Working with kidsMost of the adjustment while teaching younger players has to do with communication and simplification since most of them want some form of immediate reward. The goal is to have a younger player leaving the court feeling happy and accomplished, and wanting more.

Working with teenagersTeenagers have to have an immediate feedback and some form of success for them to stay engaged and desire to improve. So, although similar to other age groups, we go from technique to point play, but with teenagers, the goal is to give them immediate rewards and ability to accomplish new highs for their efforts.

What you need to bringProper clothing and footwear as well as water bottle.
