Hello! My name is Kyle Wright and I am a piano and voice teacher ready to get you started on your musical journey! I have been singing and playing piano for a combined 20 plus years, and have been privately trained in both instruments. I have also been teaching for the last several with many many happy students! Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFor your first piano lesson, we will typically talk about some of the basic features of the piano and go over some very beginner friendly songs to get you comfortable with playing the keys and recognizing some notes.
For voice, we'll talk about types of music you may be interested in singing and will go over some vocal exercises so that you can start to understand how your voice works. We will typically end by selecting one to two pieces to work on going forward.
What you need to bringFor voice, all you need to bring is any music that we're working on and a water bottle. For piano, I do have a keyboard that I bring with me, but it would be best if you have your own keyboard or piano at home.
What I can bringI do have a keyboard that I bring with me to my lessons, so you do not need to worry about having a piano or keyboard at home if you are a voice student.
