Youth players
Working with kidsWorking with kids is one of my favorite parts of coaching! I adapt my lessons to match their energy, learning style, and attention spans. I focus on creating a fun and engaging environment where they feel encouraged to try new things and build confidence.
I use age-appropriate games and drills that keep them moving and learning without overwhelming them. For instance, I turn foundational skills like forehand and backhand into fun challenges, such as aiming for targets or playing "mini tennis" with soft balls. My coaching is always enthusiastic, kind, and positive—I make sure every child feels supported and celebrated for their efforts.
By breaking down concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps and offering lots of encouragement, I help kids develop a love for tennis while building their skills in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.
Working with teenagersAs a 21-year-old who played varsity tennis and track in high school and competed in track at the collegiate level, I feel like I’m in a unique position to connect with teens. I’ve been through the same experiences they’re navigating—balancing school, sports, and personal growth—and I use that understanding to create lessons that are relatable, motivating, and fun.
My background as an athlete helps me teach the value of discipline, hard work, and goal-setting in a way that resonates with teens. I adapt my lessons by striking a balance between technical improvement and fostering a positive, laid-back environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves and asking questions.
Whether it’s teaching game strategies, refining their skills, or simply encouraging them to enjoy the process, I aim to build their confidence both on and off the court. My goal is to help teens develop not just as tennis players but also as well-rounded individuals who truly love the sport.
