I am taking mom's surfing lessons with Perfect Day and every time I have the best day ever. This group is just what doctor recommended: super fun and super energizing. Robbie is a great teacher and have things super well organized; and Ryan is just the man to get you on that board and ride the waive. I think these guys are bringing out the best out of us. Very highly recommend this for adults and kids.

A friend of ours highly recommend Perfect Day Surf Camp. These guys definitely know what they are doing and do it well! Ed was so attentive, knowledgeable and friendly with our boys. Immediately after the first day, the boys shared their experience and asked to go back for the rest of the week. It's not a babysitter on water. These guys are very engaging. They provide surfing skills and have lots of fun too. I felt so comfortable having my 7yr old and 11 yr old there all day. We'll be back!

Im now in my 40s and recently moved to the Southbay from the east coast. Can't believe I waited this long to start surfing. Robbie was really easy to coordinate with and Marcio is a great teacher. Very patient and easy going. You don't feel any pressure at all and it feels like you're just surfing with your buddy. I was able to catch a couple of waves on my 2nd lesson and just finished my 3rd lesson today where i caught 4. I went to work after my morning lesson and was actually asked by a friend at work if I smoked something because he said it was the first time he saw all my teeth! Unbeknownst to me, I was walking around the office with a smile from ear to ear all day. This is what surfing can do for you folks! Robbie and Marcio are great. Glad I (randomly) picked a great surf school.

I've done two lessons and both times my knowledge, skills and comfort on the board improved exponentially. Brandon and Robbie are incredibly kind and explain things in a way that just clicks. Beginner training plan

Your first lesson5–10 Minute Safety & Intro Lesson I’ll guide you in the water as you get started on small waves, staying behind your surfboard at first to ensure you feel stable and confident. We’ll stick to the inside where the waves are smaller until you’re ready to progress. You’ll learn the fundamentals of surfing, including paddling out, popping up, spotting waves, understanding sets and riptides, and how to safely catch waves.

Lesson 4-10By this stage, you’ll be confidently paddling, popping up, and catching waves on your own. Lessons focus on refining your technique, improving your wave selection, and building consistency. You’ll learn advanced skills like turning, positioning for bigger waves, and reading the ocean for sets, riptides, and changing conditions. I’ll provide personalized coaching in the water to help you progress safely and start surfing like a pro.

Lesson 2-3Now that you’re comfortable with the basics, we’ll focus on building your confidence and control on slightly bigger waves. You’ll practice paddling out on your own, popping up more smoothly, and timing waves correctly. We’ll also cover reading the ocean: spotting sets, identifying riptides, and choosing the best waves to catch. By the end, you’ll start riding waves more independently while I provide guidance and tips in the water to refine your technique.

Youth players

If you need to cancel your lesson, no worries! You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. We want to make the process as hassle-free as possible for you.

And if you simply want to reschedule your lesson, change the date and time, or adjust the number of students joining, we've got you covered there too. You can easily make these changes within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before your lesson starts.

About your surfing coach

Hi! I’m Robbie, founder of Perfect Day Surf Camp, teaching safe, fun, and confidence-building surf lessons for kids, teens, and adults. Included are my women only surf classes, a homeschool and afterschool surf class along with my summer camps. I help beginners catch their first wave, guide surfers to improve technique, and make every lesson enjoyable while focusing on ocean safety and skill progression. Whether you’re trying surfing for the first time or leveling up your skills, I’ll help you feel confident and have a blast in the water!
