Our surf instructors are seasoned watermen and waterwomen rooted in the rugged coastline of Marin. Each instructor blends technical surf expertise with a deep respect for the ocean, creating a safe, supportive, and empowering experience for every student. With years of teaching, guiding, and surfing in local conditions, they specialize in building confidence, refining technique, and helping students connect more fully with the natural world. If you need to cancel your lesson, no worries! You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. We want to make the process as hassle-free as possible for you.

And if you simply want to reschedule your lesson, change the date and time, or adjust the number of students joining, we've got you covered there too. You can easily make these changes within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before your lesson starts.

I started surfing with Nicki at the young age of 71. As you can imagine beginning to surf at that age comes with more than the usual challenges. Nicki has been a FANTASTIC coach! Not only is she an excellent and supportive teacher in terms of the physical skills you need to learn to surf but just as importantly the mental attitude required to have fun and not beat yourself up as you progress in learning a new skill. I cannot recommend her highly enough! I have also had great experiences with two of her other coaches, Steve and Sandy. If you are interested in learning how to surf don’t hesitate..contact Nicki.

She catered the lesson to our ability levels, offering super helpful tips that had us both consistently standing up just an hour into the lesson. I immediately bought a surfboard and will be taking more lessons with Nicki to hone my skills!
