About your surfing coach

From the shores of Lake Michigan to the sandy beaches of Florida, I've been riding the waves since my teenage years, learning the art of surfing from my talented cousins. Bringing the surf culture to the Great Lakes, I've witnessed a surge in interest, with more people taking to the waters year-round, even in winter's chill. As a passionate advocate for surfing, I've shared my knowledge with countless individuals, from kids to adults, helping them experience the thrill of catching a wave. Additionally, I volunteered at Third Coast Rising, a nonprofit providing free therapy to veterans and first responders through surfing. Together, we're not just riding waves; we're making waves of positive change in our community.

Working with teenagersI can get them surfing in no time.
What you need to bringI covered what you need to wear in the equipment, but it is described more here. Each wetsuit has a different thickness for the different temps surfers decide to bear through. As follows- Winter, 6/5MM or 5/4MM (thickness) Spring, 5/4MM or 4/3MM Summer, no suit, Fall, 4/3MM or 5/4MM Bring your smile or frown, and know that you'll be leaving with a smile and maybe an addiction. It depends on if you end up white water rafting or lining down some fresh water. Either way you're gonna have a rad time🤙🏽
What I can bringI've got you covered no matter the season regarding what you're on, aka the board. When it comes to every season besides summer, when you need to get a wetsuit, I can recommend one. End of July into Mid September, you can remember no need to be a penguin, aka wear a wetsuit🐧

If you need to cancel your lesson, no worries! You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. We want to make the process as hassle-free as possible for you.

And if you simply want to reschedule your lesson, change the date and time, or adjust the number of students joining, we've got you covered there too. You can easily make these changes within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before your lesson starts.

I have surfed the ocean before and always wanted to surf the lake. Coach Mark was able to use my knowledge and experience from the sea and translate it into surfing the lake. The lake is such a different setting to learn compared to the sea, and I'm happy to have had him with his experience surfing multiple oceans and lakes.
