Greetings, I’m a lifelong surfer with a passion for sharing the exhilarating world of surfing with others. With many years of teaching experience, my love for the ocean is as profound as my joy in introducing others to the thrill of surfing. In my lessons we start by unraveling the mysteries of ocean currents and wave patterns and practice some pop-ups on the beach. We then head into the water where I guide you in catching your first waves, while focusing on water safety and surf etiquette. Let’s embrace the surf together and help you ride your first waves with confidence! For those with some surfing experience I tailor the lessons to meet your goals of progressing your skills in the surf.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe start with water safety, and some pop-up drills on the beach. We then move out into the water where I guide you into catching your first waves in the white water.
Lesson 11+We improve paddling and wave selection skills. Focus on a strong understanding of wave characteristics and ocean conditions affecting the waves. We practice turning and riding the wave sideways.
Lesson 4-10We get more in depth learning about wave dynamics, the currents and tides that affect the waves. We improve our paddling technique and begin to catch the open face of the wave and to turn and ride the wave sideways.
Lesson 2-3We focus on paddling techniques, surfing etiquette and start to learn about wave dynamics, currents and improve our pop-up technique.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen teaching kids, I adapt my lessons to be fun and engaging, using games and activities that make learning enjoyable. I focus on building a strong foundation in the basics while incorporating age-appropriate drills and exercises that keep their interest and energy levels high. Patience and encouragement are key, as I strive to create a positive and supportive environment where young students feel confident and excited to learn.
Working with teenagersWhen teaching teenagers, I adapt my lessons to balance skill development with the social and competitive aspects that appeal to this age group. I incorporate advanced drills and techniques while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and peer learning. By focusing on both physical fitness and strategic thinking, I help teens develop their skills and confidence, preparing them for success in the water and personal growth in the sport.
