Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI begin by assessing each player individually, asking about their experience with the sport and any specific challenges or goals they may have. From there, I design personalized drills tailored to their needs, ensuring focused improvement in the areas that matter most to them.
Lesson 11+At this stage, repetition becomes key, as it’s the foundation of effective practice. We'll focus on developing strong muscle memory that lasts throughout the seasons. The player will learn to recognize and correct swing issues independently, gaining a deeper understanding of their mechanics. We'll also continue to refine their mindset at the plate and strengthen their overall game strategy.
Lesson 4-10At this stage, we’ll continue addressing any recurring or new issues with the swing, while also shifting focus toward game strategy. This includes learning how to work the count, anticipate pitch types, execute a change-up swing, and develop a more complete approach at the plate.
Lesson 2-3Depending on how frequently we meet, we’ll either pick up where we left off to continue working toward personal goals and addressing ongoing challenges, or we’ll reassess progress and adjust the training plan as needed.
