Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst I get to know them as a person to calm down the nerves. Then I first see their swing without saying anything to know where we are starting off at. Then I start to make small adjustments while still creating a strong positive atmosphere.
Lesson 11+Front toss and defensive drills. Getting routine ground balls and hitting off the T and front toss. Still focusing on what needs to be worked on.
Lesson 4-10Start to further teaching by doing some more intense drills to further their goal and to truly focus on what needs to be worked on. Start throwing soft toss and starting lightly hitting balls to them.
Lesson 2-3Start to see some drills for certain things they need to work on. We will start on the tee and work to front toss or start just rolling the ball to them to field.
Youth players
Working with kidsCreate a fun positive atmosphere for kids! Just introducing the sport to them as a fun activity for them. Getting the basics down when just playing the game but focusing on having fun!
What you need to bringGlove, bat, helmet, batting gloves (if they use them) and good shoes to either do hitting drills or defensive drills
What I can bringI can bring softballs. My personal equipment to demonstrate and equipment for drills
