Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI really like to get to know beginners and do a couple drills to see where they are at. I’ll talk to them a lot just to try and give them a basic understanding. After the first lesson I’ll have a better idea of how to teach them.
Lesson 11+I like to ask what they think they need to work on. Since I won’t be at their games and practices, they can tell me how those are going, what’s going good and what isn’t. From there I can help with what they want to work on and tweak things as needed.
Lesson 4-10This will be more like reps and tweaking. Picking out certain things that aren’t going as well and really focusing on those things.
Lesson 2-3We will get more into drills. These drills will be made to build good habits and good mechanics. Still a lot of talking them through it.
What you need to bringDepending on the lesson, students should bring their bat or glove, cleats, and a great attitude!
What I can bringI can bring a bucket of balls, a net, and a tee. I have an extra bat or two but no extra gloves.
