Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson focuses on getting to know the player, their goals, and current skill level. We start with a fun warm‑up, basic ball control, and simple movement drills. I emphasize confidence, proper technique, and comfort with the ball while keeping the session positive and encouraging.
Lesson 11+From lesson 11 onward, training becomes more personalized based on the player’s goals and position. We focus on refining technique, increasing speed and confidence, and developing game awareness. The goal is to help the player feel comfortable, competitive, and confident in real match situations.
Lesson 4-10During lessons 4–10, players begin to see noticeable improvement. Training includes improved ball control, shooting technique, footwork, basic defending, and small game‑like scenarios. Sessions focus on decision‑making, movement, and applying skills in realistic situations.
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2–3 build on the basics with more repetition and structure. Players will work on dribbling, passing, first touch, and coordination. Drills become slightly more challenging while still being fun, helping the player gain confidence and consistency.
What you need to bringSoccer cleats or turf shoes, shin guards, comfortable athletic clothing, and a water bottle. Bringing your own soccer ball is encouraged but not required.
What I can bringSoccer balls, cones, agility ladders, training bibs (pinnies), mini goals, and other training equipment needed for drills and game‑like situations. I can also adjust sessions based on what the student has available.
