Roy was very nice and welcoming. My son enjoyed his first practice considering Roy accommodated his lesson plan to focus on what my son wanted to work on. My son left practice feeling more confident and knowledgeable of the new techniques Roy taught him. Highly recommend!!
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI would start up with some simple passing drills to evaluate the skill and coordination level. From there I would ask their level of experience and what position they play.
Lesson 2-3I would build on the first lesson. I’d slowly add more skill work and focus on quality reps at each drill. I don’t believe in grinding out hard work. I believe in quality reps so that no bad habits are developed due to fatigue.
Youth players
Working with kidsI’ll evaluate their current skill and fitness levels. Afterwards I’ll assess the level that they are playing at. That could be club, AYSO, or rec league.
Working with teenagersI’ll evaluate their current skill and fitness levels. Afterwards I’ll assess the level that they are playing at. That could be club, AYSO, rec league or high school varsity or junior varsity.
